The Dark Woods Smoothie

Another week, another weird smoothie. This could be called the Nuts, Dark Chocolate and Cinnamon Smoothie, but I would be ignoring half of the ingredients, so I’ll call it the Dark Woods Smoothie.

  • oatmeal (cooked with water)
  • broccoli (2 florets)
  • cauliflower (2 florets)
  • 1 banana
  • 2 apples
  • mixed nuts – almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts (handful)
  • dark chocolate (4-6 squares)
  • cinnamon (1 tbsp)
  • soya milk (~200ml)

Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Smoothie

One of the problems of working from home – as I’ve been doing in the last few days – is that I tend to mess around in the kitchen quite a lot. Today, once again, I decided to throw a bunch of stuff into the blender and see what would come out as my afternoon snack.

Meet the Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Smoothie:

  • 1 banana
  • 2 apples
  • peanut butter (2 table spoons)
  • oatmeal (cooked my oats in the microwave with water, since I would add milk to the smoothie)
  • soya milk (around 200ml)

Scary, I know. But just like the Crimson Smoothie, surprisingly tasty!

The Crimsom Smoothie

I wanted an afternoon snack, so I did what I always do: check the fridge, the pantry and toss a bunch of (generally healthy) stuff together, cross my fingers and bam!

Even I was scared of tasting this one, but it turned out surprisingly tasty, so here it goes for future reference…

I’m calling it the Crimsom Smoothie:

  • 1 banana
  • 2 apples
  • ~1 raw carrot (I used carrot sticks)
  • 6 raw broccoli florets
  • 1 cooked beetroot
  • raw oats (no idea about the quantity, something like 30-50g?)
  • soya milk (250-300ml?)
